I recently did an illustration for Metropolitan (Eurostar) Magazine's July 2011 issue for the article "Paris frais / Cool Paris"
The article was basically about how to stay cool during the hot summer months in Paris. I had to illustrate the map of Paris and focus on the areas they talked about in the article. It was quite challenging since Paris is so big..so many streets and different monuments. It was a challenge to keep everything harmonious...but I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
It also helped a lot that I live in Paris so I had a good sense of where everything is at ;)
