My Design Internship

I decided to post some things that I worked on while at my internship with Terrance Sullivan from September 2009 to January 2010. I was the only illustrator/designer that worked with him at the time, so I did all of the drawings from September till January. It was a good experience for me to practice drawing clothing in a different and simplified way. My first project was to draw the collection that was already in existence. From left to right you can see how I interpreted the jeans into the style I used.

I also sketched and colored for the new collection and also worked on some of my own ideas in the process
Along with this, I illustrated the details of every pair of jeans.

Here are a couple of my own designs that I worked on at the time. It was really interesting for me to imagine a piece of clothing and how it looked from every angle of the body.
I think I'll wait till next time to show some of my favorite sketches.

Wow your work is AMAZING! My first love is fashion illustration...I wanted to be one but was discouraged when I went to FIT and realized I wasn't as good as others so my dreams were kinda squashed and I went the business route of fashion instead. I totally admire you :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I'm thrilled to be introduced to yours and can't wait to look back at everything and follow along. I'm your newest follower.

Hope you have a great week!

Awesome stuff lady! I'm always so intrigued by fashion illustrators.. I wish I was creative enough to do it. I'm specializing in medical illustration, so some of my drawings get pretty weird (ie infected penises, anal fissures, popped eyeballs). You do great stuff :)

awesome idea for a project. your style really comes through with these sketches! As well, the detail on the jean is amazing...but all are too good haha. I also glanced down at the other sketches - like the perfume bottles and the portrait of your friend....your controlled shading is ace. Thank you for motivating me to keep sketching! Congrats for finishing school too!
